Sexton's House located adjacent to the Church of Ireland Church on the Ballacolla Road was home to Bill Galbraith who served as Sexton to the Church of Ireland for almost fifty eight years. Unoccupied since Bill's death in 1981 and near derelict, the house has been beautifully restored through community effort and reflects life as it would have been in the early part of the 20th century.
The Sexton's House is open each Tuesday and Thursday from 2 pm to 4 pm and during the winter months the welcome is all the warmer as the old kitchen fire will be lit.
Admission to the Sexton's House is by voluntary donation, suggested at €2 which is wholly used towards the upkeep of the house.
